If this is an emergency, call your local emergency number — 113 in Norway, 112 across the EU. This explains what the health information in the app is, and what it is not.
Quitio is a tool for recording and following your own habits. It does not diagnose, does not treat, and is not a medical device. The information is general and does not replace advice from a doctor or other healthcare professional.
If you have questions about your own health, speak to a healthcare professional. Do not put it off, and do not let anything you read in this app be the reason you delay.
The health timeline describes changes many people experience after stopping or cutting down. It is written from general public-health information, and it is not an assessment of you. That is why it is hedged — may, often, many people — and never phrased as a promise about what will happen.
How quickly anything changes varies from person to person. If you have a question about your own health, speak to a healthcare professional.
Stopping abruptly after prolonged heavy drinking can be dangerous. Withdrawal can cause tremors, seizures and, in severe cases, delirium tremens, and sometimes needs medical supervision.
Talk to a doctor before stopping abruptly if you drink heavily or daily. The app cannot assess how much you drink or how great your risk is, and it does not try to.
The same applies to prescribed medication and other substances: do not change or stop use on your own without speaking to a doctor.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, live with a chronic illness or are being treated for a mental health condition, discuss your plan to stop or cut down with a healthcare professional first.
Money saved, consumption and percentages are calculated from what you enter yourself. They are estimates that show direction. They are not accounting, and they are not health measurements.
In Norway:
Abroad, use your local emergency number. In EU and EEA countries, 112 reaches the emergency services. In Norway 112 is the police — call 113 if a life is at risk.
If this app does not work for you, that is not a failure. There is help that works better than an app, and asking for it is an ordinary thing to do.
Quitio is built so your data never leaves your phone. This sets out exactly what the app stores, where it lives, and what happens in the cases where you choose to share something.
MJMM LABS AS, company number 928 651 835, Professor Birkelands vei 26B, 1081 Oslo. Contact: app@mjmm.no.
Because the app sends nothing to us, we normally receive and process no personal data about you at all. We are named here so you know who built the app and who to contact.
Some of this says something about your health. That is precisely why the app is built so it goes nowhere.
Everything is stored in the app's own storage area on your phone, protected by the operating system's sandbox. There is no server, no account and no sync in this version.
Only when you ask it to, and always through the operating system:
We see none of this. The service you send it through, and the person you send it to, do.
Reminders and milestones are scheduled locally and delivered by the operating system. The text is generated on your phone; no notification is sent from a server. You can turn them off in Settings, or withdraw permission in your system settings.
iCloud Backup and Android backup may include app data. That is governed by Apple and Google under their terms, not by us. To avoid it, turn off backup for this app in your system settings.
For as long as the app is installed. Delete the app and the data goes with it. You can also delete everything from Settings, which cannot be undone. If you exported a file first, that file stays wherever you put it and is yours to delete.
The GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability against whoever processes data about you. Since we receive none, you exercise those rights directly in the app: everything is visible in the interface, can be edited, can be exported as JSON and can be permanently deleted.
If you have questions, contact us at app@mjmm.no. If you believe data protection rules are being broken, you can complain to your national supervisory authority — in Norway, Datatilsynet.
The app is not built for children under 16, and we do not direct it at them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated and the new text ships with an app update. If anything that sends data off your phone is ever added, this policy is updated before that feature is switched on.
This is the agreement between you and MJMM LABS AS for using Quitio. By using the app, you accept these terms.
Quitio is a tool for recording and following your own habits. It is not a health service, not treatment and not a medical device. The health disclaimer forms part of these terms.
You get a personal, non-exclusive right to use the app on devices you control, for private use. You may not resell or rent access, attempt to circumvent technical restrictions, or decompile the app beyond what the law expressly permits.
Everything you enter is yours. It stays on your device and we acquire no rights to it.
The numbers the app shows are built entirely from what you enter. Money saved, consumption, limits and percentages are estimates based on your own input — not accounting, and not fact.
Your data exists only on your device. If you want a copy, use the export function. If you lose your phone, delete the app or delete all data without exporting first, the data is gone. We hold no copy and cannot restore it.
The app is free in its entirety. There are no purchases, no subscriptions and no payment system. Should paid features arrive later, purchases would go through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms would govern payment, renewal and refunds.
The app shows no ads and no ad service is connected. Were that to change, the privacy policy would be updated before the feature is switched on, and ads would never appear in the craving and support screens.
The app links to helsenorge.no and may link to other external resources. We do not run those sites and are not responsible for what is on them.
The name, logo, text, design and software in Quitio belong to MJMM LABS AS and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
The app is provided as is. We cannot guarantee that it is always available, free of defects, or that it leads to any particular outcome.
We are not liable for indirect loss, consequential damage or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Norwegian law, including liability for intent, gross negligence or personal injury, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
You can stop at any time by deleting the app. We may discontinue or change the service, and will say so in the app if it affects you.
If the terms change, the date at the top is updated and the new text ships with an app update. Continuing to use the app after that means the new terms apply.
Norwegian law applies. If you are a consumer, you may complain to the Norwegian Consumer Council. Disputes not settled amicably fall to the ordinary courts of Norway.
